The Undergraduate Trauma Training aims to provide brief insights to the world of trauma care, spanning from occupation experiences to general knowledge and principles on surgery and post-acute management. This value-adds to the existing education curriculum and prepare them for attachment and employment opportunities in the healthcare industry.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop a broad understanding of trauma care within the hospital and in a regional system.
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a trauma team.
- Enhance knowledge of procedures and applied techniques used in the basic assessment and management of a multi-trauma patient.
- Explore career or learning opportunities in various sub-specialties of trauma care.
- Engage with experienced individuals on an open forum.
Target Audience: This training is suitable for junior to senior year undergraduates (medical, nursing and allied health disciplines), paramedic trainees and healthcare individuals keen on reviewing their foundation knowledge.
